Once done stick a layer of bubble foil insulation.  The bubble foil was warm enough in my last van But that was less than half the size of this one.

That is the sides done. Door cards were taken off and done inside them also. I shall cover the floor when i get the hardboard as i will end up ripping it before then.

It does not look it but it was cold outside and i was quite snug working away in the van. I was going to add sheeps wool for added insulation but once the floor and ceiling is done i dont think i will need it

Wee nip out to B&Q for a few sheets of OSB boarding for the floor. Its not a nice looking wood but its cheap compared to plywood.  and will be getting covered in laminate anyway so why not. By the time i get laminate the floor will come in at around £80 what will be nice as so far everything i have estimated its all came in under budget 😏

Some floor insulation before the wood.

Aye, so thats more or less all i can do with the floor just now. Small bit up by the doors what i will get later. Next is get the 240 and 12v wires in place then start building the kitchen unit frame and bed frame.

Slight out of focus picture πŸ˜›

Below is some new transistor radio πŸ˜€ Same as the one i put in my last van but for some reason £2 cheaper and i am sure 10w a channel higher. Ill not complain

Hook Up

No not a hook up for a date. Electric hook up for the camper

This is the electrics inside. I did a bell test on the live and neutral and AIO as well as all switches/breakers working. Not sure about the chock block on the blue neutral but ill tidy it all up later and get a spark friend to look it all over before plugging in.

All i need is a couple of plug sockets so keeping things simple. These two sockets will get put into units when i get them built. The R/H sockets will also be getting changed to the ones with USB.

Below is a basic diagram how i wired it all up. Only addition i made was add an extra earth to each socket

The red wire at the top of the bulkhead. This is for my split charge. That connects to the battery (below) and on the inside it connects to my split charge then leisure battery

Trip to B&Q

16 planks to build unit frames. think i should have got 18 now i am thinking about it but i should have some off cuts in the shed that would do. Ill start that some point next week.

OK nice day and could not wait a week so made the bed frame. That is six foot by two and the ply top will fold out to the middle of the van making a six by four bed. As well as being hinged to fold out t will also be hinged at the back to lift for under bed storage. Obviously its needing lined and a cover made for over the wheel arch.

This is the overhead lockers. Single to the N/S for any dry food stuff and a double to the O/S for whatever. The finish is slap dash as its just something to attach the pine cladding to and yet to made doors. Got nice little gas struts to open doors upways and push to open/lock latches.
