My new sofa bed has no storage under it. Access is easy enough to make but i wanted this area for tools, jack, awning, table, chairs and the likes. Nothing i would need inside the van so i needed storage for the bedding. Just like the front overhead locker i went about making one at the back

This is not as deep as the from one. Much deeper you would be banging your nut off it gettup up and down from the sofa. Its about 19" deep and 18" tall and at over 5 foot wide plenty room for the bedding

Going to just cover that up in grey carpet just like the inside

This is odd. I put a door on and carpeted the new overhead storage but the door looks a different colour. Stand in the van and look at it its fine. Spooky

As i said i was re using some wood. This also includes the pine cladding. Once re stained it will look fine. Not putting it all back just yet as i have to re wire the 12v circuit with everything getting moved around

I have since added a sheet of ply over the bed to reduce draught from the back door coming up through the slats.

Below is the storage from the back. Oceans of space. Just need a few dividers to stop things moving around and protect the fuse box on the left

Scored this little sink cooker unit for £50. Wants a new lit and front cover but that and a lick of paint and a wash it will look great

In the drop down front is all the pipes i need and drain plug. It also has a grill

So not to waste and old wood i started to make a unit for m sink/cooker. This is the 18mm OSB board i had on the floor. I took the sink and cooker out for cleaning what has came up nice and the old lid and front cover is in the bin. Looking for a but of nice hard wood i could use.

I had nowhere to put my tap. This was the only option. The reason i have patchy pine cladding on the walls is i am re using a lot and its still to get stained. Im waiting on more getting delivered to do the ceiling so will stain it all at the same time.

So my pine cladding arrived last night so got on with lining the ceiling today. This is not the same as the old stuff as it has an extra grove along the middle of the slats but as long as i keep it all for the ceiling it will be fine.

I was not getting over exited putting bubble foil down as we found it to hot in the van last time out. It got some thrown in just in case.

There is the odd small gap where the tongue in groove was broken but i may fill that in with plastic wood before varnishing.

And looking forward
