Built a unit across the back doors. This will have the stove and sink with gas, waste and fresh water stored under as well as tools and hook up cables. Basically all the dirty stuff you dont want in your van

I was gong to make this unit the same height as the back but it was looking naff so took it down to window height. By the time cushion is on the sofa bed they will be almost the same height ish to handy for getting the feet up. That wall will also hold the TV

So due to B&Q being useless at pricing and stocking the shelves in the shops added with useless staff. Its nice that they employ while thinking of care in the community but sometimes being served by someone with an IQ would be nice. Pine cladding for the ceiling is out. Price is double what the B&Q web site says. Went to local timber merchant and got 6mm ply and lined the ceiling. Ordered light grey carpet to glue on then i will pine the lower half of the van.

The masking tape is over the wood joins and will/should hide the joins when i put the carpet on. I still have the overhead lockers to put back up so any imperfections will be hidden by them.

So the carpet came today. This looks way worse than it is with all the creases. Some get covered in overhead lockers and others can be cut open and glued back down with a careful slice with an art knife.  I also intend of having some hippy art hanging around so this will take the eye away from any imperfections 😃

Overhead lockers back up just need to make the doors what will be wood from an old wardrobe. Come to think about it that bench you see along the back doors. The top is part of the same wardrobe.

The under bead storage is not as large as i would have liked due to the wheel arch but there is plenty other storage areas that can get used. I will still get a duvet and blanket under there. Need to go find some nice pine slats to finish the sides off and get a sheet of ply for the top and that will be the bed almost done.

Another little trip to Mt Timber for some pine. Below is roughly how the bed will look. Once laminate is down and nice edging in it will look more professional 😀

This is the unit opposite the bed. I was going to have a drop down cupboard door there a the left section but it will be dropping at your knees so decided on a lift up top but only from the left to that bar near the end as that section will have a door on the side and this will house the leisure battery.

Bit more cladding done today.

The bed

Little video of how the bed and overhead storage works

Added a reversing camera today

So this unit needs a top so as it was a quiet day off i popped to B&Q again and bought a sheet of 12mm Ply. Drew a quick top design and measured while sitting in the B&Q car park and got them to cut the wood 😀

This is how it looks.

And when open. This will store any kitchen needed stuff that wont fit in the Kitchen top locker.

Made a little cupboard at the side as this is going to house the leisure battery what i must get soon and start wiring up and testing.

Next is tackle this back unit. Cooker to the left sink to the right

Start filling in and partition. The left area is going to house the gas and the right i will shelf half and the other half will hold two 5 gallon drums. One for fresh water and one for waste

The hole is for a little door so i can turn the gas off after use. The cooker off should be good enough but best turn of at the bottles. This storage area will also be sealed ad a floor vent for any escaping gas if any.
